Enitan was born in Lagos State, Nigeria. She never knew her father. Her mother could not really tell what happened to him during the night but in the morning she discovered he was dead. Her mother needed surgery during Enitan's birth, which has made things difficult for their family since. Her mother sold all she had for the hospital bill. There are three children in the family and Enitan is the third born.

Qudus was born in Lagos State, Nigeria. He is responsible for washing dishes for his house. Qudus lived with his father until October 2010 when he died mysteriously during the night. His mother could not really tell what happened to him. They all slept in the night but in the morning they discovered he was dead. His mother went through surgery after his death for the birth of his youngest sister. And since then things have not been going well for Qudus and his family. His mother sold all she had for the hospital bill. They are now counting on people around them for food. There are three children in the family. Qudus is the first born son.

Qudus enjoys attending Bible study, Sunday school class and any other programs that his church offers.

Before Ajirenike's father died he was the provider for his family. Since his death, everything that was left for their family has been taken over by family members. He and his mother suffer as they are left with nothing.

Deborah lives with her guardian and older sister in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. Her father died on March 19, 2007. Since then, Deborah's guardian has been solely responsible for their survival. There are three in her family and Deborah is the youngest.

Deborah runs errands for her family, attends church and Bible study, enjoys reading her Bible and also studying at school. Her hobby is making friends.

After his father's death, everything became difficult for their family. It is even difficult to eat and go to school. There are two in his family and he is the youngest.

Funmilayo's father died in 2004 and her mother died soon after in 2005. She had no one to care for her and her younger sister. God used an old man in her church to come to their aid and become their guardian. This was her only hope as she doesn't know any of her father and mother’s relatives. Things are getting more difficult for them to survive as the older gentleman has nothing. He depends solely on his salary as a driver and it isn't enough to sustain them.

Funmilayo loves telling stories, going to church and attending Sunday Bible school.

Oluwadamilare lives with his mother in Lagos-Nigeria. He was born in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria on October 2, 2000. Damilare never knew his father because he died of a terrible sickness when Damilare's mother was two months pregnant. Damilare feels like he is to live a life of tragedy. Without a father, both he and his older sister are unable to go to school or even afford the food they need to live.

Oluwadamilare loves serving God. In doing so, he feels it will help him forget about the sorrow and tragedy in his life.

Bolanle lives with her guardian in Ibandan, Oyo State-Nigeria. She was born in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria on March 15, 1997. She has lived with a guardian and serves as house help since her father's death as her mother couldn't help take care of her and her younger brother. She can no longer remember what her father looked like as she was three years old when he died from a terrible sickness. She feels as though she has come to live this life with tragedy. Since her father died, there has been no money to go to school or even afford what she and her brother need to eat in a day.
